Let’s Play LA is a modern spin on a classic form of entertainment created by Lee Dyson, owner and founder of our sister company, www.heymisterdj.com.
During the 2020 pandemic, live events were shut down almost overnight. Hey Mister DJ quickly pivoted online using their Improv and MC/Hosting experience and became the #1 source for fun & immersive virtual event entertainment.
However, virtual events require much more interaction than a traditional DJ-driven event to be engaging, so the team developed various games and team-building challenges to enhance and gamify the virtual experience.
Lee & his team had so much fun playing games with people on Zoom and other virtual platforms that, as live events reopened, they were inspired to adapt the games, challenges, and team-building exercises for a live audience.
These games can be run without any additional technology or video screens. Our Game Masters are professional MCs with many years of experience hosting events.
Our DJs are seasoned nightclub/event performers with exceptional room awareness and mixing ability.
Having a live DJ allows us to incorporate fun video & sound effects or switch to a dance battle spontaneously to settle a tiebreaker. We can also add Karaoke or a dance party between or after games.
These games consist of a visual game board or game platform displayed on a TV or projection screen. Many of these are like popular game shows you may have seen on TV.
Some of the games are triggered by our buzzers, but some also include an app that guests can access to play right from their phones.
